A voluntary association recognised as a Special Interest Group by the Council of the South African Medical Association, made up of doctors, nurses and technicians working in underwater and hyperbaric medicine. It accredits chambers and lists diving medical examiners.
Why it matters: If you need a diving medical in southern Africa, its examiner list is the starting point.
