RegulatorUnited States
IN BRIEF
The US federal workplace safety regulator. Commercial diving sits under 29 CFR 1910 Subpart T, which sets requirements for dive team qualifications, procedures and equipment.
Why it matters: Unlike the UK, OSHA names no certificate. It requires the employer to ensure each dive team member has the experience or training for the task — which is why the ADCI card is an industry credential, not a licence.
