An independent committee formed in 1975 to advise on the medical and certain safety aspects of commercial diving. It brings together diving physicians from France, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom with health authority and industry representatives.
Why it matters: DMAC guidance is the reference the offshore world uses on diving medicine, from fitness standards to hyperbaric evacuation.
