The US commercial diving trade association. It publishes the International Consensus Standards and issues diver classification cards from Entry Level through Air Diver to Bell/Sat Diver.
Why it matters: Entry Level needs 625 documented hours of formal instruction to the ANSI subjects; Air Diver adds 30 working dives and 100 field days; Bell/Sat adds 100 dives, 10 bell runs and 200 field days.
